WOOF WOOF Devil Dogs!!
Welcome to the West Virginia Pack.

Be sure to check the Bulletin Board
regularly for up to date barks.

ATTENTION
DOGS OF THE WEST VIRGINIA PACK
AND ALL OTHER INTERESTED DOGS!
All annual dues for MODD members expire August 31, every year.  Here's something you might want to consider.  There are many of our DD's moving up to PDD in Charleston this year.  If you have any PUPs and or DD's who are not eligible to move up to PDD, then go ahead and collect their dues.  Now several of those new PDD's might want to become a life member in the MODD.  Here's the criteria to become life member in MODD.  First you have to be a life member in the MCL.  Next you must be a PDD.  Next your annual dues must be paid up to August 31, 2014.  Next here are age payments:

If you are over age 61:  $125.00

If under age 61: $150.00.

Full payment must be made to MODD Kennel prior to August 31 or else you need to also pay your annual dues.  You can save your annual dues by paying for your life membership, if eligible, as per everything I listed.  They have to be age 61 before August 31 for the over 61 age.  If a member does not have all the money to pay at once, then have him pay his annual dues and then perhaps once you get all his total life fees, then send it to the Kennel.  Full payment must be made to the Kennel as there are no payment plans available.  Here's a thought, the Kennel Dog Robber will take the life payment upon you becoming a PDD.  Take your check book and or cash for this.   For all DD's moving up - when you get to Charleston, go to the Kennel Quartermaster store and buy your yellow collar as there are many, many dogs moving up and there may be a shortage.  I plan on buying a few for our Pack supply but I will not have one for everyone.  If by chance you do not get one, I will probably have one for you.  Pound Dog Robbers, pick up any supplies you need either admin forms and or MODD items from the Quartermaster store. It's always a good idea to have some extra PUP kits and passports around.

Remember, when you get to Charleston-ON SUNDAY - First, go to the Embassy Suites to check in with the MCL and get your credentials, then go to the Marriott and check in with the Dog House.  All dogs will receive the 75th anniversary tag but you have to go to the Dog House first.  There will be a separate table for all those getting the 75th anniversary tag and you will be required to sign for it.  No, you can not get one for your "buddy who couldn't make it" to Charleston.

If you are a PUP or DD not eligible for PDD, you can still get a Passport stamp at the Dog House.  Dogs, check over your gear, always wear your MCL cover when you are at or near the Dog House, also have dog collar with tag on, passport, MCL and MODD membership cards, MCL membership application(s) with you, and always carry an ink pen.  Know how to sound off.......example::: Woof Woof, PUP John Wayne, 03-031, Pound 345, WV Pack.  If you can not say it, get on the stick and practice as you will have to say it a lot, so get ready.

I will be in the Dog House and at other areas in Charleston so if you need help or have questions, come see me.  Plus our Division NVC Mike McLain is an ole salt and knows everyone and everything too.  If in doubt ask the question.  I will have copies of every Degree Advancement Form that was submitted to me in case yours got lost.

If by chance you get to Charleston and your name is not included on your detachment delegate list, then get in touch with your Detachment Commandant who might be there and he can add your name onto your list but it's $6 per name added.  If your Commandant is not in attendance, contact me and I'll see if I can help.

You will need at least $50 large bones if you are advancing to PDD status and make sure you have a lot of single $1 bones for your fines and more.

Good luck to all MODD members and remember, ole dogs never die, they just run off into the tree line and bark when they pass gas.

Woof,

Roger Ware

WV Pack Dog Robber
