WOOF WOOF Devil Dogs!!
Welcome to the West Virginia Pack.

Be sure to check the Bulletin Board
regularly for up to date barks.

DOGS OF THE
WEST VIRGINIA PACK

The Pack Growl will commence at 1900 Hours (7 PM) on Friday, 2 May at the Holiday Inn Express in Elkins in conjunction with the Department Convention.  Check in and registration, Pass Port stamping will commence at 1200 in the Holiday Inn Express conference room on the 1st floor.

This will be a trial run for all Dogs who will be going to Charleston in August for the Supreme Growl and also to pick up their 75th Anniversary tag.

Be sure to have both your MCL and MODD membership cards with you or the same thing is going to happen in Charleston.  Also there is nothing in the MODD bylaws about you having to have a MCL membership application with you but in Charleston you will be asked to show one.  If you do not have one, 1 large bone and no chance to be out.  Also have your dog collar, and ensure your dog tag is engraved on the front with your Pound number and the reverse is correctly engraved.  Recheck your Passport and if you are a DD or a mere Pup, make sure until you become a PDD that you have real picture of yourself or 1 large bone donation is again assessed.  Make sure your MCL cover has the MODD patch sewed on properly.  If not be sure to correct it.   Practice sounding off as you will be doing a lot of this in Charleston.  If you stutter now, you will also stutter in Charleston,  It's not about how fast your say your info, but that you know the sequence.  So practice all you want.

Pack Dog of the Year Nominations must be submitted to the Pack Dog Robber prior to the WV Pack Growl, so if you have a Dog that has peed on many trees and found his own bone, then submit his name.  The Pack DOY will be selected during the Growl.

Detachments, if you have any new MODD applications, bring them with you so they can be initiated as Pups.  Here's the cost: 1 Pup kit is $20.00, 1 Passport stamp is $1.00 plus their dues paid for one year in advance.  All new applications after March the fee is $5.00 as the year is half gone.  Plus it's $13.00 for the advance year, so it's about $39.00 and then a few bones for fines.

Anyone moving up to PDD in Charleston, must ensure they fill out a Degree Advancement form and submit to the WV Pack Dog Robber.

All eligible Pups with date of rank to Pup status as of May 2013 are eligible to advance to DD status on May 2, at the Pack Growl.Nominations and Elections for Pack Officers will be held at the Growl

Since I am the Pack Dog Robber, I will have an ample supple of all MODD forms.  It is hoped that all Dogs can get registered, have their Passport stamped during the afternoon, and any that have questions and or need extra training or administrative forms can get this done so when 1900 starts we can kick off the Growl of the Pack as our old and decrepit Pack Leader will have returned from his Southern headquarters with numerous scratches on his forehead, painted toes, and sunburned lips. One can only wonder what sea stories the poor man has either heard or made up.

We will have some VIP Dogs, Craig Reeling, VCDD Mideast Division, Bruce Rakfeldt, Asst NVC Mideast Division, Wayne Sarapata Past PL Pack of VA, and a few visiting Dept Commandants will be here.  Let's make sure they all have a good time.

Woof,

Roger Ware
WV Pack Dog Robber
